Job Opening: Finance & Bookkeeping Specialist
Status: Part-Time (flexible schedule)

The Cleveland County Arts Council is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance & Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. This key position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of our non-profit arts organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks

  • Process payroll and manage employee records

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with annual budget development

  • Reconcile bank statements and manage restricted funds and grant reporting

  • Ensure compliance with non-profit financial regulations and reporting standards

  • Work closely with the Executive Director and Board Treasurer

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll processing

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)

  • Solid understanding of non-profit accounting and financial reporting

  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with non-profit organizations

  • Familiarity with donor management systems and grant tracking

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
