Artists in Schools
Artist-in-Schools Grants:
- Provides funds to assist teachers and administrators in Cleveland County for projects that integrate the arts into the standard course of study, or for art programs, which enhanced those studies.
- The Arts Council awarded a total of $4350 to fund 20 new and exciting projects during the 2007-2008 school year.
Artist in Schools Grant Recipients
The Cleveland County Arts Council is proud to have awarded a total of $4,500 in grants to the following teachers. These “Artist-in-Schools” grants will assist with funding several outstanding projects.

This is the 10th year that the Arts Council has offered funds for school initiated projects and is very pleased with the quality of programs planned by the teachers. The funds were awarded on the basis of program merit for projects, which integrate the arts into the standard course of study, or for art programs, which enhance those studies.
