No Experience Necessary, Just Bring Your Curiosity

Join us for a 2-day immersive painting experience where intuition takes the lead. Through color, value, emotion, composition, and imagination, you’ll learn to trust your creative instincts and paint from a place of freedom rather than fear.

We’ll be painting on easels (and if that’s new to you, that’s part of the excitement) using acrylics to layer expressive color and texture. If you know you work super fast, consider bringing a second canvas because inspiration tends to move quickly in this workshop.

By the end of the weekend, you’ll leave with a deeper connection to your creative voice and a bold, intuitive painting that reflects your emotional and imaginative landscape.

 Studio Supply Fee: $50 (optional)

Perfect for those who prefer not to bring their own materials. This fee covers: • One 24x24" canvas provided for each student

About Instructor: donna downey

Expressive artist and mentor who transforms creative process into a path of self-discovery, truth, and liberation.

Art is how I understand myself. It’s how I process, rebuild and reconnect, not just to the canvas, but to the truth beneath it.

When I closed my studio during COVID, I didn’t just leave behind a physical space. I stepped into a new way of creating and connecting. I built a virtual studio rooted in presence, process and the belief that we don’t have to make perfect art,  we just have to show up.

My work lives in layers of emotion, color, texture, memory. I paint, write, journal, teach and experiment. Sometimes the work is loud. Sometimes it’s tender. But it always asks one thing: to be honest.

I believe creativity is a returning. A remembering. A reclaiming of voice, of story, of self. Through my own evolving practice and the community I hold space for, I continue to explore what it means to live a life that is both artful and true.
