Cleveland County Artists Competition

The annual Cleveland County Artists Competition, hosted by the Cleveland County Arts Council in Uptown Shelby, showcases the creative spirit of our community by bringing together emerging and established local artists working across a wide range of media. From painting and photography to mixed media and 3D work, entries reflect both individual voices and a shared dedication to artistic exploration. The artists’ reception and exhibit, held at the Arts Council gallery on South Washington Street, invites the public to engage with the vibrant and ever-evolving scene of Cleveland County. 

More than just a show, the competition offers a platform for recognition and connection: artists receive feedback, enjoy increased exposure, and often build relationships with fellow creators and collectors alike.
