Facility Rentals

The Cleveland County Arts Council offers a variety of available rental spaces for events, meetings, classes, and special occasions. Renters can choose from the following options located within the Arts Council:
- Gallery
- Board Room
- Downstairs classroom

Set-up Fee
Renters wishing to set-up the day before are required to pay an additional fee of 50% of the room

Security Deposit
A refundable security/damage deposit of $350 is required to hold a reservation. The deposit will be refunded provided there are no damages to the premises and a proper clean up of the premises has been done.
Tables and Chairs
All rentals must be through Got You Covered.
Kitchen Use
Renters should bring their own consumables (i.e., foodstuffs, napkins, cups, all paper products, etc.) and utensils. Any consumables (foodstuffs, paper products, etc.) in the kitchen belong to the Arts Council. Please follow posted directions for using the dishwasher. Be sure the stove is turned off when you leave. All items brought in by the renter should be removed from the facility before locking up.
Rules and Regulations for Using the Art Council Facilities
- ARTWORK that is on exhibit cannot be moved or rearranged.
- SET-UP & CLEAN UP: Renters are responsible for setting up meeting rooms to suit their needs and are expected to return the rooms to their original condition before leaving. Chairs should be folded and stacked out of walkway areas. Tables should be folded and stacked against the wall.
- Trash should be securely tied up and removed from the building. Trash bins are located outside the kitchen door.
- THERMOSTATS: Make sure the thermostats are returned to their original setting (68) before locking up.
- LOCK-UP PROCEDURES: Check all outside doors (kitchen and handicap access) - make sure they are closed and locked. Make sure the right front door is locked. Turn off all fans and lights. Check lights in the kitchen, conference rooms, bathrooms, etc. Use the entrance key to bolt the front door from the inside. Pull on the door to make sure it is securely locked. Leave the key on the gray service desk. Exit using the handicap ramp exit. Check the door to ensure it is closed.
- SMOKING: Smoking or vaping is not permitted in any area of the building.
- PAYMENT: Rental deposit will be made when the lease agreement is signed. Full rental payment should be made at least one month prior to use.
- CHILDREN: An adult must supervise children at all times. Running is not permitted in any area of the facility.

ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION: Alcoholic beverages may be served on the premises provided that the Arts Council staff is informed of this prior to the signing of the lease. The renter must comply with all local, state and federal laws and secure all necessary permits required to serve alcohol on the premises. It is the recommendation of this body that a bartender be engaged for the distribution of
said alcohol. The lessee must obtain a permit to serve fortified wine or spirituous liquor. Proof of this permit must be made at least thirty (30) days prior to the rental event. - Do not move the white rolling panels/screens.
- The following items are prohibited: Confetti, Glitter, Bird Seed, Rice, Open Flame
Sparklers, Sand, CANDLES: Due to the historic nature of the building, open flames of any type are prohibited. These restrictions will be enforced. Battery operated candles may be used. - There are to be no decorative items obstructing: Entrance/Exit doors, hallways,staircase, Fire Pulls, and Fire Extinguishers.
- Marbles and/or small stones must be contained.
- AFFIXING (NAILING, TACKING, GLUING, and TAPING): Florals and other decorations must be freestanding. Nothing may be nailed, tacked, glued, taped or otherwise affixed onto the walls, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, or any other part of the rental facility under any circumstances.
- ADVANCE APPROVAL: Due to numerous restrictions all decorations must be approved in advance. The Cleveland County Arts Council reserves the right to inspect, question, and/or remove any decorative items that violate the regulations.
