"Flemming"
Audition Dates: April 7 @ 3 PM; April 8 & 9 @ 6:30 PM
Performances: June 7, 8, 14, 15 @ 7:30 PM June 9th @ 3:00 PM KMLT will hold auditions for “FLEMMING, an American Thriller” by Sam Bobrick and directed by Georgianna Wright on Sunday, April 7th at 3:00 PM, Monday and Tuesday, April 8th and 9th at 6:30 PM at the Joy Performance Center. Information @ www.kmlt.org or 704-730-9408. The Play: Bored by his privileged, but mundane life, Henry Flemming sells his lucrative brokerage firm to become a detective. On his very first case, and to the horror of his wife, Karen, and his two crazy neighbors, Suzy and Stan, the Flemming living room begins to fill up with dead bodies. Karen is further annoyed when one of them turns out to be her father. Even though Henry keeps showing up at home every day more disheveled and beaten up, he couldn't be happier. Henry is convinced he's found his life's work and Westport, Connecticut is safer for it. The play is a spoof of the film noir thrillers from the 1940's and 50's.

"Searching for Eden"
Directed by Joseph Hurdt
Performances: May 3, 4, 10, 11 at 7:30 pm May 5, 12 at 2:30 pm "In the beginning - and throughout the play - there was laughter. And the audience found it good"...more than a hundred years after Mark Twain wrote his own short stories about Adam and Eve, James Still combines those stories to create this delightfully refreshing tale - about the world's first love story. In the imaginations of authors Still and Twain, the Garden of Eden is a place where the battle of the sexes begins, where language is deliciously invented, and where loneliness and heartbreak are poignantly discovered. Searching for Eden is "a captivating romantic comedy that captures the wit and warmth of Mark Twain."
Tickets at the door are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors/students.
Discount presale tickets are available at Arnold's Jewelers, Badcock & More, CC Arts Council, and Neal Senior Center. All performances are in the Keeter Auditorium on the campus of CCC. Season ticket holders receive reserved parking privilege.
