Your donation can become art classes for children, traveling exhibits for the community, musical performances for students, and other experiences to last a lifetime.
Your donation allows us to:
• Provide a central location for information on local arts events.
• Award approximately $13,000 in Grassroots Grant funds to help the overall development of the arts in the county.
• Conduct hundreds of events along with our affiliate organizations on a yearly basis giving Cleveland County residents opportunities to enjoy musicals, plays, art exhibits, historical events, concerts, festivals, and so much more in our own county.
• Real to Reel Film Festival
• Art of Sound Music Festival
• Bowling for Dollars
• The Big Chill
• Art and Soul Holiday Art Sale
• Visual Art Exhibits and Competitions
• Treasures of the Earth
Your donation allows us to:
• Award an average of 17 grants annually to Cleveland County teachers to provide unique art projects and experiences for their students.
• Coordinate a performing artist residency in conjunction with Cleveland County Schools to provide cultural experiences for students in every grade level.
• Award four scholarships to outstanding high school art students planning to attend college.
• Sponsor 7 weeks of summer art camp giving over 300 children the opportunity to learn basic art skills, perform plays, be creative and have fun.
• Sponsor a student art competition awarding $1200 and giving over 400 children in grades 3 – 12 the chance to exhibit their artwork.
Cleveland County is an exciting community sitting on the brink of great growth. A strong and vibrant art community adds to the quality of life in our county and helps attract businesses looking to relocate. Cultural events draw thousands of visitors to Cleveland County on an annual basis.
