About the Artist |
Brenda Holt decided to try her luck in stained glass art in 1990. After 6 weeks of attending stained glass class in Charlotte, NC her instructor said to be sure not to quit her day job because stained glass art was certainly not her niche. Yes, there was evidence that there were no artistic skills in her body. Yet, she did not give up and continued to practice whenever the time allowed. But in 2001, she found herself with more time to explore these crafty abilities due to a job loss. By September of that year, she was devoting at least 20 hours each week to learning the intricacy of this art form. In 2005, Brenda began to teach stained glass classes to groups and individuals along with creating/designing stained glasspanels for cabinet doors, exterior windows, gardens, signs, and ethnic art as commissioned work. Today, Brenda has quite a few stained glass pieces placed in art galleries, churches, and homes throughout the United States and is excited to pass these skills along to you! |
