Collage Quilt
Aug 13 - 9:30AM-12:30PM
Create a beautiful fabric collage quilt without the need for precise cutting or traditional quilt piecing. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will learn the basic process of collage quilting using a provided pattern. Fabric pieces are cut and layered to create an image, much like making a collage with paper.
Once your design is complete, the fabric pieces will be fused to a background fabric and prepared for quilting. Participants may choose to:
• Create and assemble the collage only
• However you can bring a sewing machine and quilt the project using simple straight-line stitching
• Have the project professionally finished with custom meandering stitching by the instructor for an additional $10
This is a fun and creative way to use fabric scraps and explore a more intuitive approach to quilting. No quilting experience is required.
